Tunis: The steering committee of the training programme for the implementation of the national health policy up to 2035 held a meeting on Monday at the Health Ministry headquarters to conclude and evaluate its implementation and discuss the next steps. Targeting health ministry executives at central, regional and local levels, the training programme is implemented in collaboration with the University of Montreal, Canada, and with the support of the World Health Organisation (WHO). Health Minister Ali Mrabet had previously received Dean of the School of Public Health at the University of Montreal Carl-Ardy Dubois, who had visited Tunisia to attend the closing workshop of the training programme. Mrabet underlined on the occasion the importance of this training programme in building the capacity of health executives, voicing the department's willingness to continue its implementation.
