Stock market: Third consecutive session in green (+0.1%)


The stock market on Monday recorded its third consecutive session in the green. The benchmark index rose 0.1% to 8460.5 points on a modest volume of 1.9MDD, according to Tunisie Valeurs, the stock market broker. Extending its gains, ASSAD was the best performer of the session. The car battery manufacturer’s shares rose 5.2% to TND 0.810. Trading in the stock was limited to TND 18,000. Carthage Cement shares were among the session’s top gainers. The cement company’s shares rose by 1.5% to TND 2.090 on a meagre flow of TND 29,000. SERVICOM shares suffered the biggest correction of the session. The stock fell by 4.8% to TND 0.200. Only TND 3,000 were traded. UNIMED shares were among the biggest losers of the session. The stock fell by 4.6% to TND 7.350. The stock fed the market with a relatively large amount of capital of TND 251,000. UIB shares topped the volume charts. Closing unchanged at TND 22.990, the share of the Société Générale Group’s subsidiary mobilised a trading volume of TND 573,000 during th
e session.
