Three film projects to represent Tunisia at 9th Malmö Industry Days

Three film projects directed and/or co-produced by Tunisians have been selected for the 9th edition of Malmö Industry Days (MID) to be held in Sweden from April 29 to May 1, 2023.

This annual event is organised by the Malmö Arab Film Festival (MAFF) and will take place in the city of Malmö from April 28 to May 4, 2023.

This platform for Arab-Nordic film co-productions will host two Tunisian feature-length documentary projects in development, “Solo” by Amine Boukhris and “Tunis-Berlin” by Nidhal Guiga.

Boukhris co-produced his film project “Solo” with Swedish filmmaker Basel Mawlawi. “Tunis-Berlin” is co-produced by Tunisian Ismahane Lahmar and Swedish Thomas Brennan.

Tunisia is also represented with a feature film project, “Dear Tarkovsky” by Firas Khoury. This co-production brings together producers from several countries, including Palestine, Tunisia, Italy and Sweden.

The Malmö Arab Film Festival has announced a selection of 13 film projects from 14 countries that will be part of the the Malmö Industry Days (MID) 2023 programme.

The selected projects are feature films, documentaries and short films, chosen from 39 entries representing 19 countries. They will compete in sections dedicated to projects in the development phase.
