MPUMALANGA – Three suspects aged between 27 and 42 are expected to appear before the Witbank Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 19 September 2022 after they were arrested by the Middelburg based Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation on 16 September 2022 for fraud and theft.
It is alleged that the suspects conspired and used a FNB fleet card that was reported lost/stolen to swipe on the POS devices SFT Energy in their workplace when customers were paying cash for diesel. They then placed the card slips in the till and took the cash in order for the payments and sales to balance. The value involved is R 28 424, 93.
The suspects were charged and detained pending their first court appearance. The investigation is continuing.
