Midday voter turnout for the state elections in Germany ' s Thuringia on Sunday was 32 % - about the same as it was for the last election five years ago , when 31 . 2 % of voters had cast their ballot by noon , local election officials said . The figures do not include absentee ballots . Still , the 32 % shows more interest in the state election than was seen in June for the European Parliament election or for municipal elections this year .
