Tunis: Minister of Tourism Mohamed Moez Belhassine has called for special packages to be offered to Tunisian tourists at affordable prices in line with their purchasing power, according to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism. During a working session on Monday, following field visits and inspections of tourist facilities, Belhassine stressed the paramount importance of prioritising domestic tourism. He highlighted its role in revitalising the economy and tourism activities, especially in the interior regions. Belhassine stressed the need to intensify the supervision of tourist establishments and urged all professionals to commit to offering Tunisian tourists a warm welcome and top-quality services, in line with the comprehensive quality programme launched by the Ministry at the beginning of 2024. The meeting also highlighted the main components of the programme and various promotional initiatives aimed at promoting domestic tourism, such as the "Tunisia for You" campaign launched by the Tunisian Nati onal Tourist Office, which showcases the natural, archaeological and cultural riches of various regions of the country.
