Tunis: The Tunis Stock Exchange continued its decline on Tuesday. The benchmark index retreated by 0.4% to 9,801.8 points, amidst robust trading volume totalling TND 14.1 million. After a prolonged period of stagnation, Magasin Général emerged as the top performer of the session. Despite a meagre transaction volume of TND 2,000, the retail specialist saw its stock rise by 4.3% to TND 6.250, as reported by broker Tunisie Valeurs. Meanwhile, SFBT managed to stay in positive territory, gaining 2.4% to reach TND 12.800. The beverage and alcoholic drinks specialist attracted trading worth TND 62,000 throughout the session. On the other hand, STA ended up at the bottom of the TUNINDEX. The automotive dealer's stock fell sharply by 4.9% to TND 19.000, with minimal trades amounting to TND 5,000. Wifack International Bank also concluded the session on a downbeat note, declining by 4.5% to TND 8.550. The Islamic bank witnessed trading activity totalling TND 1.2 million. SAH LILAS proved to be the most dynamic stoc k of the day. The hygiene products specialist closed positively with a gain of 1.6% at TND 9.000, fuelling market activities with substantial capital inflows totalling TND 10.6 million.
