The 4th edition of the Tunis Short Film Days "CINÉMANA" will be hosted on September 1-5, 2024 at the Tunis Science City, at the initiative of the Alliance Française de Tunis (AFT) in partnership with the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), the Tunis Science City and the Government of the Principality of Monaco. It will feature a new prize: The Monaco Prize for Best Film on the Environment and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), awarded by the Department of International Cooperation of the Government of the Principality of Monaco, announced the AFT. This prize will be added to the seven prizes in the competition: First Prize, Alliance Prize, Best Screenplay, Best Documentary, Jury Prize for Best Sound, Jury Prize for Best Image and Jury Prize for Best Editing. The Monaco Prize aims to raise awareness and encourage creative filmmaking on environmental issues, by rewarding the short film that best highlights the current ecological challenges, while proposing solutions and hopes for a s ustainable future. The AFT informs that entries for short films are still open until July 20. Launched as an adventure to make the voice of the environment heard through the 7th art, the Cinémana days targeting young people aged between 16 and 30 living in Tunisia, provide a space for presenting their films, training and meeting film professionals. Under the banner of the Francophonie and cinema training, CINÉMANA aims to support young people and offer them training opportunities and recognition for their cinematographic works.
