Tunis: The Tunisian Post and Mauritania's "Mauripost" on Monday inked in Tunis an agreemet to scale up bilateral cooperation. This agreement was signed by Tunisian Post Director General Sami El Mekki and Mauripost Director General Alioune Ould Issa, on the occasion of a two-day visit paid by a Mauripost delegation to Tunisia (May 20-21). The agreement aims to further scale up bilateral cooperation in the post field, financial and digital services and the human resources aspect, through the organisation of training sessions for Mauritanian post staff and the development of remote training fields. It will further boost cooperation between the Tunisian Post and Mauripost in the stamp-related fields through the issuing of a joint postage stamp. The Tunisian Post had developped by the end of 2022 a mobile payment platform for Mauripost so as to provide digital solutions, facilitate e-exchanges and e-commerce for Mauritanian citizens and help them benefit from financial services via smartphones, such as money t ransfers, bills, downloads and merchant withdrawals.
