The National Institute of Meteorology (French : INM) said it is working on a vigilance map and early warning and data collection systems as Tunisia will observe World Meteorological Day next March 23. The data system recently purchased under a strategic project is designed to revamp the surface weather observing Network. The INM also said it is continuing to implement the Integrated Disaster Resilience Programme. The latter is intended to consolidate facilities, improve exchage with various stakeholders, including the National Office for Civil Protection and the Ministry of Agriculture, and improve data quality. The World Meteorological Organisation picked Sustainability as a theme for this year's observation which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the INM. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
