Tunisia to host Volleyball African club championships (men and women) May 11 to 23

Tunisia will host the African Volleyball Clubs Championship (men and women) from May 11 to 23, said President of the Tunisian Volleyball Federation (FTVB) Mohsen Taleb at a press conference on Tuesday.

The games will take place in El Haouaria and Kélibia for the women’s tournament and in Nabeul and Grombalia for the men’s tournament.

The men’s competition will see the participation of the following clubs:

They are AS Marsa – Tunisia, MS Bousalem – Tunisia, Zamalek SC – Egypt, JSC Ouled Adouane – Algeria, FAP, PAD, and Cameroun Sport – Cameroon, Chief of Naval – Nigeria, Muger Cement, Wolaitta Dicha, Madda Walabu University – Ethiopia, KPA Volleyball Club – Kenya, Green Team, VC Espoirs – DR Congo, Green Buffaloes, Zambia Volley-club – Zambia, RIG – Rwanda.

The final list of participating teams will be decided at the technical meeting scheduled for Wednesday, he added.

Tunisia champions Esperance ST, as well as Etoile SS and CS Sfaxien had refused to participate for internal reasons, according to the same source.

The Women’s Championship will kick off on May 12. It will see the participation of the following clubs:

CF Carthage (Tunisia), MC Alger (Algeria), Litto Team, Nyong Et Kelle and FAP (Cameroon), Zamalek SC (Egypt), National Alcohol (Ethiopia), Quatre Bornes VC (Mauritius), KCB and Kenya Pipiline (Kenya), Chief of Naval (Nigeria), VC La Gracia and VC La loi (DR Congo), APR (Rwanda), AJD Diofior (Senegal), Arsu Ladies and Asac Saltigue (Seychelles).

Tunisia had hosted the two previous editions 2021 and 2022.
