Tunisian cinema to feature at 34th Fameck/Val de Fensch Arab Film Festival

Tunisian cinema will feature in the official and out-of-competition section of the 34th Fameck/Val de Fensch Arab Film Festival34th edition of the Fameck/Val de Fensch, scheduled for October 5-15, 2023. The ten-day programme will include screenings of some forty films, as well as round tables, professional meetings and master classes. Tunisia will be represented in the feature-length fiction competition by the film “Par delà les montagnes” of Mohamed Ben Attia, alongside nine feature-length films from Morocco, Jordan, Syria, Sudan, Yemen, France and Belgium. Two of the six feature-length films competing in the documentary category are from Tunisia: “Machtat” by Sonia Ben Slama and “Je reviendrai là-bas” by Yassine Redissi. In the short film category, Jamil Najjar’s short fiction film “Ca roule” has been selected. In the out-of-competition section, film fans will have the chance to see the Tunisian film “Four Daughters” by Kaouther Ben Hania. On the programme, no less than 42 films, long and short films from fiction, animation and documentaries from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Yemen.
