Tunis: Tunisian fencer Fares Ferjani clinched Tunisia's first medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, securing silver in the sabre event. Ferjani delivered an outstanding performance but was ultimately bested by South Korean fencer Oh Sang-uk, with a final score of 15-11 in a fiercely contested final. In the semi-finals, Ferjani won Egyptian fencer Ziad El Sisi 15-11. In the previous rounds, Ferjani eliminated South Korea's Gu Bon-gil (15-8) and Hungary's Gemesi Cesanad (15-14).
