Tunisia’s U16 women’s national basketball team defeated their Algerian counterparts 59-47 at day-2 game of the Arab Championship for the category (held June 18-26) in Jordan, played on Tuesday.

Tunisia had lost to Egypt 23-80 at Day-1. They will take on hosts Jordan on Wednesday.

Four teams (men and women) are taking part in the tournament, namely Tunisia, Jordan, Egypt and Algeria.

The competition will take the form of a three-day mini-championship, culminating in semi-finals between the first and fourth teams and the second and third teams.

The two winners will meet in the final on June 26.
