Venezuela reiterated its "strong commitment" to supporting the goals of the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil said on Friday. "In these challenging times, the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter must act decisively, collectively, and assertively to ensure full respect for the principles enshrined in the UN's founding Charter," Gil said during the sixth ministerial meeting of the group in New York on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
