Workshop on natural heritage in Testour organised by Museum Lab

A mediation workshop on natural heritage around the Mejerda Valley in Testour was organised by the Museum Lab, a civil society organisation active in the mediation and promotion of Tunisia's cultural heritage. This workshop is aimed to help participants organise wildlife trails and encourage them in an educational and playful way t o observe the flora and fauna, discover the region's natural heritage and introduce them to the design and implementation of digital tools and the creation of content around this theme. The aim is also to raise awareness about the importance of preserving, safeguarding and promoting these benchmark environments in northwest Tunisia. Organised with the support of Maghroum'in-component II of the European Union's EU4Youth programme in Tunisia, in partnership with the Agency of Heritage Development and Cultural Promotion (AMVPPC), the workshop falls under activities for development and research in cultural and digital mediation. Museum Lab drew up an action plan for 2024. A set of workshops are scheduled throughout the year for young people in a bid to promote cultural tourism in northwestern regions through a better understanding of tangible, intangible and natural heritage.
