Broiler production in January dropped 0.4% compared to December 2023, statistics released Monday the National Observatory of Agriculture (French: ONAGRI) show. The producer price saw an upward trend in the first week of January before falling then rising again. The average monthly price grew 4% in comparison with January 2023, climbing 9.7% compared to December. Geographic breakdown showed the average producer price in the north was higher than in the midland (+3.3%) and the south (+ 1.3%). The cost of production fell 3.8% on a year-on-year basis; a 0.5% drop was reported compared to December 2023. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
