China and Thailand played out a 6-6 draw in a women's ice hockey friendly on Sunday evening. Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn attended the match, with Queen Suthida personally leading the Thai team, and opening the scoring for Thailand just three minutes into the match. The friendly was co-hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Thailand and Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand next year. The event was also attended by Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and International Ice Hockey Federation President Luc Tardif.
