Tunis: Work on the creation of regional commissions in charge of implementing and following up the programme of communitarian companies started, said Minister of Employment and Vocational Training Lotfi Dhiab. The Minister Saturday said in Nabeul at the closing works of a workshop on the la review and management of active labour market programmes a guidebook on communitarian companies will be shortly developed and distributed to all actors. Concurrently, an awareness-raising campaign will be organised to shed further light on communitarian companies and incentives instituted under the investment law. The minister called for the continuous assessment and review of various employment programmes to attain the goals set. Emphasis was laid on the role of employment and self-employment offices as part of communitarian companies, considering their expertise in training and support of young entrepreneurs. Communitarian companies bring forward a new model of development based on a new approach, the minister said. It is a new programme of employment and an unprecedented economic choice of the Tunisian State which upholds the principle of common action and social responsibility.. The workshop was held on April 25-27 by the National Agency for Employment and Self-employment, in partenaship with the International Labour Organisation Office , as part of advancing the Decent Work Agenda in North Africa - ADWA.
