The Otjozondjupa police on Tuesday launched an investigation into the death of a 68-year-old farm manager who allegedly shot himself at Farm Molmoe outside Grootfontein. The Namibian Police Force's head of community affairs in the region, Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha in an interview with Nampa on Wednesday said the deceased was identified by relatives as Domona Stefanus. Stefanus allegedly shot himself in the head with a hunting rifle around 16h00 on Tuesday at Molmoe Government Resettlement Farm Unit B, and he died on the spot. The farm is situated 45 kilometres northeast of Grootfontein. Preliminary police investigations indicate that Stefanus had an argument with someone who lives on the same farm on Monday. The argument, over work matters, continued the next day, said Mbeha. 'However, the police officers on Wednesday morning were still establishing the details surrounding the alleged argument,' said Mbeha. The firearm used belonged to Stefanus, and it was seized by the police, Mbeha said. Police investigations into the matter continue. Source :The Namibia News Agency
