A high-level delegation from Djibouti, composed of officials from the Ministry of Women and Family, is visiting Tunisia from January 25 to 30 to learn about the Tunisian experience in women and children's affairs. A working meeting was held on Thursday at the headquarters of the Ministry for the Family, Women, Children and the Elderly between officials from the General Directorate for Women and the Family and the delegation led by the Secretary General of the Djibouti Ministry for Women and the Family, Anissa Hassan Bahdon, according to a ministry press release issued on Thursday. During this working session, the delegation took note of the missions of the Ministry of the Family, Women, Children and the Elderly, the main legal and institutional systems and projects, strategies and action plans implemented by the Ministry in the field of socio-economic empowerment of women and families. The latter pertain, in particular, to rural and priority regions, the promotion of women entrepreneurship, the fight again st violence against women, the prevention of risky behaviours and the protection of children and the elderly.
