Media and candidates in the second round of the local elections are urged to comply with campaign rules as set out in the electoral law and regulatory decisions of the Independent High Auhtority for the Elections (French: ISIE), the election commission said on Saturday.
The election period continues until the completion of the second round of elections, pursuant to Article 50 of the Electoral Law.
ISIE said it is continuing to monitor media coverage of elections until the end of the second round process.
The second round will be held two weeks after the announcement of the final results of the first round, scheduled for the end of January.
