OSHAKATI: The police in the Omusati Region have arrested a 44-year-old man for allegedly raping and impregnating his 14-year-old daughter. The Namibian Police Force's Crime Investigations Coordinator for Omusati, Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho, said the incident occurred between January and June 2024 at Oshikushashipya village in the Etayi Constituency. 'It is alleged that the suspect, who is the girl's biological father, had forceful sexual intercourse with her and impregnated her,' he said. Simaho said the matter was reported to the police on Tuesday by the girl's mother. The suspect has been arrested and police investigations into the matter continue. Source: The Namibia News Agency
