The number of people arrested in connection with last Saturday's adulterated alcohol poisoning incident in the delegation of Sidi Makhlouf (Médenine governorate) has risen to five , the Public Prosecutor at the Médenine court of first instance, Fethi Bakouche, said on Wednesday. In a statement to TAP, Bakouche said five defendants were involved in supplying and transporting these drinks and acted as intermediaries between sellers and consumers in the region. He added that last Saturday police units arrested the main supplier of these adulterated drinks, a person with a long criminal record who had previously been incarcerated in the civil prison, while his accomplices were arrested between Tuesday and Wednesday.
