A 15 - year - old Grade 8 learner from Keetmanshoop Secondary School who stands accused of stabbing another learner , appeared in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate ' s Court on Monday . The accused who cannot be named as he is a minor , made his first court appearance before Magistrate Erich Ndandu , who postponed the case to 04 December this year for further police investigations . The case was also postponed to allow the accused to obtain legal representation . He informed the court that he will acquire the service of a private lawyer . The boy faces a charge of assault , read with domestic violence . Namibian Police Force crime investigations coordinator for the || Kharas Region , Deputy Commissioner Nikodemus Mbango told Nampa on Sunday that the accused allegedly stabbed a 17 - year - old Grade 9 learner in the chest with a knife at the school . The incident occurred around 11h00 on Friday . The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital , where he was still admitted on Monday in a stable c ondition . ' It is not clear what caused the argument between the two learners but they were called in and reprimanded . Both parties then allegedly went home and collected knives and that is when the stabbing took place ,' added Mbango . Source: The Namibia Press Agency
