Partnership framework between Tunisia and Italy in higher education and scientific research set to be updated

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Moncef Boukthir and Italian Ambassador to Tunisia Fabrizio Saggio agreed during a meeting on Monday in Tunis, to update the partnership framework between the two countries in the higher education and scientific research fields.

The goal is to implement structured bilateral programmes in fields of mutual interest, notably renewable energy and the environment, according to a press release issued on Tuesday by the Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry.

The funding of joint research projects and the fostering of cooperation between universities, as well as the mobility of students, teachers and programmes were also on the agenda of the meeting.

The two sides also commended the positive dynamic of academic and scientific cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the context of European programmes such as Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe, as well as the ERASMUS+ Cross-Border programme.
