L Ü deritz: Spencer Nakale ' s father is still hopeful that his son will be found , four years after he went missing in L deritz . Spencer was three years old when he went missing from his aunt ' s house at Area 7 in L deritz , where he was playing with other children , on 28 December 2020 . Nelson Nakale , Spencer ' s father , told Nampa on Monday they are still hoping to find the boy . He said they have come up with various ideas , including placing suggestion boxes in public spaces and urging community members to come forward with any information that might lead to finding his son . So far , this has all however been in vain . ' We have placed the suggestions boxes in various locations with the hope that anonymous tips might lead to new information , but no credible leads have surfaced until now ,' he said . He added that the authorities and volunteers alike have searched extensively , but have found no clothing or other personal items that could provide clues . He stressed that the Nakale family however continues to hold onto hope . ' We regularly participate in community events , sharing Spencer ' s story and reminding the public of his disappearance in the hope that someone , somewhere may have information ,' he added . Further , Nakale indicated that they have now also turned to social media to amplify their search connecting with missing persons organisations and sharing Spencer ' s image and details across various platforms . Contacted for comment , the Namibian Police Force ' s // Kharas ' Regional Commander , Commissioner Marius Katamila , gave his assurance that the investigation is ongoing . ' There were some allegations of the boy being found in Zambia , but when we followed up it was just a boy who looked like him who also went missing ,' Katamila said .
