Strategy on developing border regions and updating migration public policies discussed

Tunis: "Designing a specific strategy to develop border regions and updating migration public policies," represented the main themes discussed in a meeting held, Wednesday, by the Committee on Security and Social Protection in the Social Affairs Ministry. Chairing the meeting, Social Affairs Minister Malek Ezzahi said Tunisia's border regions enjoy a rich cultural heritage, significant natural and human resources as well as several untapped development opportunities. The Minister of Social Affairs indicated that the issue of irregular migration in both directions aims to examine issues related to the growth of the migratory flow over the past period and help with the establishment of an updated public policy on migration.
