Toddler allegedly drowns in water bucket at Omusati

A one-year-old boy allegedly drowned in a bucket of water at Omonawatjihozu location in Oshifo in the Omusati Region on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Elao Hauvi. Namibian Police Force's Commander for the Omusati region, Commissioner Ismael Basson, said the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon. According to Basson, the deceased was allegedly at home with the mother and aunt at the time of the incident. The toddler allegedly went inside the house unnoticed and was later discovered dead in the bucket by his aunt. Police investigations into the matter continue. Source: The Namibia News Agency
