Some fifteen Tunisian companies, led by the Confederation of Citizen Enterprises of Tunisia (CONECT) International, are on a visit to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on February 26-March 7, in order to learn about the main players and projects in the building, construction and technology sectors. These companies operate in several sectors, such as public works, land services, building materials, facilities management, renewables, consultancy, international trade and information systems, CONECT said in a press release on Tuesday. The visit aims to step up direct contact with international partners, scale up economic and technical cooperation, explore trade and investment prospects and opportunities and share successful experiences in Tunisia and Saudi Arabia. The programme includes a visit to one of the largest international building and construction exhibitions in Saudi Arabia, "Big 5 Construct Saudi," held on February 26-29, with the participation of over 1,300 exhibitors from 47 countries and with the goal to bri ng together 55,000+ industry players, government stakeholders and active buyers. The delegation will also visit the LEAP 2024 technology show on March 4-7, which is the world's most attended tech event focusing on technology at the global level, the future of new techniques and their role in the development of mankind, such as artificial intelligence. The value of trade between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia reached $258 million in the first 11 months of 2023. In the third quarter of 2023, the value of Saudi non-oil exports to Tunisia came close to 513.42 million Saudi riyals. Saudi Arabia's main exports are chemicals, packaging and construction materials.
