Weekly Cabinet meeting approves Somali Children’s rights bill

The weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre approved the bill on the rights of the Somali Children

This bill submitted by the Ministry of Women and Human Rights protects the rights of Somali children and removes everything that violates their rights.

The council heard a report related to the country’s general security and the second phase of the operation to eliminate the Al-Shabaab terrorist group from the Ministries of Internal Security and Defence.

The council welcomed the start of the second phase of the operation, which is planned to liberate the areas where the terrorists are hiding in the Galmudug and Hirshabelle regions.

Moreover, the Council was presented with reports related to the Security Evaluation Committee of the Government Facilities, the Internal Revenue Acceleration Plan and the National Monitoring and Evaluation Process of the 9th National Development Plan and Environmental Protection presented by the Ministries of Finance, Planning, Internal Security and Environment and Climate Change.
