Build-up programs for the visit of the Deputy Ministers yielded positive results

BCM DISTRICT – The build-up activities in preparation for the visit of the Deputy Minister of Police, Cassel Mathale, and Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour, Ms Moloi in the BCM District started at Jongihlanga High School in Village 1, Ncerha Kidds Beach on Wednesday, 26 October 2022, where SAPS members conducted presentations on bullying, substance abuse and gender-based violence. Learners were also afforded an opportunity to engage on the three topics.

The first day ended with a multi-disciplinary roadblock on the R72, where nine (09) foreign nationals aged between 25 and 45 were arrested for contravening the Immigration Act. Some motorists received traffic fines totalling R20 000-00 for traffic offences ranging from unroadworthy vehicles to driving without a valid licence. Three wanted suspects were also apprehended.

The second day, Thursday, 27 October 2022, members together with Gift of the Givers visited an orphanage home at Village 3 in Ncerha, where a donation of groceries and clothing was handed to the manager. On the same day, Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour, Ms Boitumelo Moloi with the Deputy Minister of Police, Mr Cassel Mathale visited a government- funded project in Ncera.

Third day, Friday, 28 October 2022,  was a Community Engagement, which was held at Imidushane Sports ground, where various stakeholders engaged with communities, and there were government mobile services from Departments such as Home Affairs, SASSA.
