Ministry of Education calls on schools to organise ceremony to salute Palestinian and Tunisian flags Monday

The Ministry of Education has called on educational institutions to organise a ceremony on Monday to salute the Palestinian and Tunisian flags, which will be raised in the presence of students and educational staff, while the national anthems of the two countries will be played.

According to a press release from the Ministry, this call comes as a sign of solidarity with the resistance of the Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation forces, following the large-scale operation known as the “Al-Aqsa Flood” carried out on Saturday by the Hamas movement against the Israeli occupiers.

The Presidency of the Republic issued a statement expressing Tunisia’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people, recalling their right to recover their stolen territories and establish an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.

In the same statement, Tunisia also called on the international community to assume its responsibility to put an end to the violations of international law committed by the Israeli occupation forces.
